  So 2 weeks ago I hosted a event at this place. I don't usually write reviews, but I wanted everyone else who is considering using this place to read before hosting an event there. This was the worst experience I have every had with a business. Most of my dealings were with Kristen the business manager. She is extremely rude. When I initially rented call for an inquiry she gave me a price of $800 to book for the full day Then I called back 2 days later to book and the price had gone up to $1000. So I went ahead and book, paid $350 deposit, this was in December of 13' . I was told that they would be sending me a contract. Never got a contract. Well, I lived out of the state and told her that i would try to see building whenever I moved closer. Once I tried to contact her in January I got a voicemail that said that they were closed until the beginning of May. I continued to call through the month of February and March hoping that someone would return my voicemail. I got a call back in the middle of April, because they were requesting a final payment. I once again requested a contract, because now the price had went up to $1300. (not including my deposit). I told her that she had to honor my previous price which was $1000. She said fine, but she also changed my hours and said that now I could only go to venue for 10 hrs and I could be there to set up no earlier than 3pm. Me and Kristen went at rounds about this and I finally ended up agree. Once again I requested my contract, she failed to send it. In among this timeline I had 3 other ppl call and she quoted them all different prices and one girl( my cousin) she gave different time. When I actually got to the venue area, we came an hour early and she told me that she was going to charge me an extra $145 per hour or I had to give up an hour. (btw we were outside and never actually went inside the venue until 3). Then she took 1 hour of my setup time to do a walk through and for me to read over and sign the contract. This is also where she informed us that we could not use anything at there facilities but the table and chairs. We couldn't use the refrigerator or the sink, matter of fact she would be locking the kitchen door. if we wanted Ice we had to pay $1 per cup. She was extremely rude the whole time. The owners wife refused to talk to me and told me that I had to talk to the manager about everything. After I signed the contract my cousin went in and talked to the owner. The owner only talked to her although her name is was not on the contract. I believe it was because I am black and my cousin (who is also a business owner) threatened her that her business would not ever give them recommendation or do any business with them in the future. As you could only imagine my experience only got worst from here on out. Alot of my guest said they felt like Kristen was harassing them. The whole time I continue to remain calm, and be nice. At the end of the party, she still went over the whole property with her cellphone light to make sure that we had not left anything. Then she told me that she would mail my deposit to me on Monday Morning and she did not mail it until I call her about it on Thursday. Trust me I will never do business with this company and I would not recommend anyone else to as well. They have the worst customer service. This business would do well to get rid of there business manager!!!!!! So of my guest stated that they were considering writing negative reviews about this company.
